As has been said many, many times, baseball is a game of numbers and when a team beats another team 14-10, there are going to be numerous numbers that come out of it. For Ryan Howard to be Ryan Howard again, or at the very least become a productive first baseman, it is imperative that he begin to understand the strike-zone again and exert some patience. This is second only to his health in terms of importance, but as a matter of fact, being healthy probably allows Howard to cheat less on pitches and wait a split second longer to recognize location, spin, etc.
